What do toddlers and preschoolers generally learn in lessons?
Sunsational Instructors focus on water safety and life-saving swimming skills first, with students eventually graduating to swim strokes.
Toddlers will learn essential water safety skills such as holding their breath, kicking and floating, and will work towards the ability to turn around and kick back to the wall after jumping in - a basic safety skill-set.
Preschoolers will learn all skills covered for infants and toddlers, and can work towards higher level skills including kicking on their back with arm paddling and starting arm scoops in preparation for learning freestyle. In addition, for children aged 3 and older (who take lessons at least 3 times per week) we offer our Learn to Swim Guarantee that they will be able to demonstrate the turn, kick, grab safety series within 12 lessons.
